Although you may find web sites more prominently placed in the search engines for four wheel drive drivelines, Driveline Service of Fresno wrote the book on long travel shafts some years ago due to our expertise in the agricultural PTO market. Next we were asked to produce a high angle CV joint and did so using industrial driveline components modified to popular 4x4 flange specs. We have the resources to fill orders of 1 or 500 shafts as needed. We carry 1310, 1330, 3R and 1350 CV components as well as several sizes of long travel splines and sleeves.

Our goal is to keep in stock every possible combination of parts needed to build every possible 4x4 driveline. It is a rare occurrence that we cannot fill a typical order within 24 hours.

Trucks

Drive Line Service of Fresno has been building truck drivelines for over thirty years. In the old days, service was all that mattered and our service has always been outstanding. Almost all incoming work is completed within 24 hours and in many cases we have rushed emergencies through in 3 or 4 hours. Understand that we normally have 20-50 jobs go out the door each day, none of them the same.

Today, the name of the game is parts. No longer can a shop inventory a dozen part numbers and service 100 different truck styles. New engineering, foreign manufacturers, and increased horse power have all led to a driveline sector that is using no less than 12 different universal joint sizes to power long line trucks. 30 years ago there were 3.

Our truck inventory is as comprehensive as you will find. We carry all the necessary parts to build standard shafts, midship shafts and inter-axle drivelines. We keep the following series: 1610, 1710, 1760, 1810, SPL90, SPL170, SPL250, RPL20, RPL25, 6C, 7C, 8C. Please see our truck page.

Automotive

Whether you are building a hot rod, have modified an old pick up, or just trying to find a 12 bolt pinion yoke, we can help. Using the most sophisticated balancing and fixture system in the industry, we have the tooling, experience and knowledge to make your driveline even better than a factory original. That’s right. Better.

Again, our inventory makes fixing your driveline correctly within 24 hours a standard procedure. Once in a great while we will run out of the parts we need. But normally, we have 2-5 stock orders rolling in the door every week. Ours is a perpetual inventory system, NOT a ‘just in time’, or ‘hope this will work’ one.

We can also provide quality rebuilt drivelines for BMW and Mercedes Benz as well as unusual component parts for Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Suzuki and Volvo.

Agricultural

Agricultural PTOs are our true specialty. This is an area few driveline shops are willing to devote themselves to because it is so complex. But Drive Line Service of Fresno takes pride in keeping up with an ever increasingly mechanized world. Our online AG PTO catalog is indexed by manufacturer and universal joint series.

We carry OEM components only. Specifically, Bondioli and Pavesi, Walterscheid, Weasler, Neapco and Dana. We are not selling the cheapest shaft you can find, only the very best. Using quality parts in the farming industry results in longer life, less downtime, and increased productivity. If the PTO shaft is driving the implement that is doing the job, don’t you want the best????

Constant velocity shafts (CV shafts), overrunning devices, friction clutches and torque limiters, end yokes, quick disconnect yokes (QD) and machined custom yokes are all included in our service. Our agricultural PTO inventory is valued at over $300,000.00. So if we don’t have what you need, chances are no one else does either.

Industrial

We have cataloged a huge number of industrial driveline types and sizes. We carry SAE as well as DIN hubs and flange yokes. We are direct with Elbe and in the process of improving our inventory in that line. More importantly, because of our machine shop and decades of experience, there is no universal joint driveline we cannot repair or replace up to a diameter of 12”.

Comprehensive Universal Joint Table

In the process of developing our online catalog, we have been vigilantly updating our UJ table with the goal of including every universal joint that crosses our path. Our UJ table and catalog are so complete at this point we rarely need the assistance of our old catalog rack. We will keep her, however, because 'ya never know'....
