3-Point Angle Issues 03-25-2018

All 3 point hitch applications rely on trigonometry that your specific application may or may not fit into. That is: the angles of the two universal joints must cancel each other as the hitch is lifted or lowered.
In many cases as you operate the 3 point, all is well and you never even think about it. But if you experience hammering or vibration in certain positions, then you can be sure you are traveling through an angle range that is "binding" and the life and performance of your PTO is now severely limited. Additionally, the greater the torque, the bigger the problem.

We have observed chronic PTO yoke and shafting failures due to 3 point angles for as long as we have been in business. We have known the solution too. But an 80 degree CV will not solve the problem and survive, and the 50 degree CV has simply not been widely available..... until recently.
Finally, Weasler Manufacturing has made these components available. The only drawback is price, however, if you are constantly replacing tubes and yokes on your 3-point application, and you want a "final" fix, a 50 degree CV will end the nightmare.
